I'm a 4th grade teacher. This game helps players make inferences and develop problem-solving skills. It is also super fun! I would recommend this for family fun game nights or those rainy indoor recess days in the classroom.

We bought this game from a local toy store based on their recommendation as a game to play with the family on Thanksgiving Day. (Unfortunately we also paid even more than this for it which just adds insult to injury...)

Anyway, we started this game and the first few rounds were not fun. We re-read the instructions in hopes of finding an aspect of the game we'd somehow missed that would make it more engaging, but found none.
There is little to no interaction between the players.
Finding the correct answers is a slow, mundane task.
Follow the suggestion to change only one card at a time which makes it easier, but definitely not more fun.
When you do solve the mystery, it's certainly less than exciting.

This game was a complete dud. From a 60+ yr old grandmother, to a 30+ yr old mom, to a 10+ yr old, not one of us thought it was fun. I would have had more fun doing the after-Thanksgiving dishes.

In the late 1870's, the Fifteen Puzzle was widely introduced in the United States by Sam Loyd who stirred-up interest for the game by promoting a contest. He offered a thousand dollar reward to the first person who could solve his number sliding puzzle. The contest puzzle tiles were arranged in numerical order with only the 14 and 15 tiles reversed. You then have to skillfully and systematically slide the tiles with out removing them from the board until you recover the original numerical sequence of 1-15 as show on the box. The one thousand dollar reward for the first correct solution remains unclaimed, and people continue to rack their brains. We got this game for my son, he's 3. He loves this game. His cousins love this game (6 and 7), and the adults like to play this game. Very easy to explain and helps with matching and counting. Game is already assembled which is nice. It is all cardboard so if you are expecting more you will be disappointed. The plastic piece on the front of our washer keeps falling off but we still love to play the game. Highly recommend.

My almost 4 year old loves this game. It's easy to set up and play. My only gripe is that it's all cardboard except for the plastic ring on the washing machine. So I'm not sure how durable this will be over time. Overall, I recommend it. We do family game night and this has been a great addition to our game collection.

My three and a half year old finds this game great, although she likes to make up her own rules and just fill everyone's baskets with matching sock pairs. My only complaint is that the plastic ring on the "washing mashine" keeps falling off. It will likely get lost soon. Hopefully the box won't rip to badly in the process.
