Our kids love the Sequence games. We started off with Sequence for Kids and they loved matching. Our son, who is 5 now, was very interested in States and Capitals and loved the States and Capitals Sequence game, so when he showed an early interest in learning how to add and subtract it was an easy decision to purchase this game. Since he already knew how to add and subtract using his fingers or objects, we just added a calculator for him to figure out the larger equations.

Sequence Numbers Another great game from the Sequence people. I bought this game for use in my first-grade ESL class, but found it was too difficult for them at this point. However, it proved to be perfect for third, fourth, and even some fifth graders who are in the initial stages of learning English. Most students mastered, or outgrew, the game in short order. So, I simply made a new set of cards with more difficult math problems, for example "7 X 3 - 1=?" or "111 11=?). (Come on, Sequence people, you should have thought of that first!) Thus, whether you use the game cards or make up your own more challenging cards, this game will be fun as well as educational for your smart pre-schooler, your struggling grade-schooler, or even your genius middle- or high-schooler.

My elementary level students LOVE playing this game! They get to play it at a couple times a week and still ask for more. I really appreciate that it is a fun way to get them to practice their facts.
