We started off with Sequence for Kids and they loved matching. Our son, who is 5 now, was very interested in States and Capitals and loved the States and Capitals Sequence game, so when he showed an early interest in learning how to add and subtract it was an easy decision to purchase this game. I bought this game for use in my first-grade ESL class, but found it was too difficult for them at this point. However, it proved to be perfect for third, fourth, and even some fifth graders who are in the initial stages of learning English. Most students mastered, or outgrew, the game in short order. So, I simply made a new set of cards with more difficult math problems, for example "7 X 3 - 1=?" or "111 � 11=?). (Come on, Sequence people, you should have thought of that first!)
