You come up with words that have the letters on the cards before the bomb goes off. I like that it gets you thinking. It is edge of your seat, heart racing fun. The objective is simple enough. In turn, state words that have the required letters in the exact sequence. The placement of the letters (beginning, middle or end of the word) is determined by the roll of the die. The hilarity ensues when the bomb shaped timer is in play. As we quickly found out, the alloted time is completely randon so there's no telling when the "bomb" will blow. The player's task is to come up with new words and remember words already stated by the other player(s). No two rounds of play are the same. For younger kids, we easily made up new game rules, ignoring the cards and playing a form of "categories" (ex: boys' names, musical instruments, videogames) while passing the bomb. One young player just wanted to play "hot potato," passing around the bomb frantically until it "exploded" in someone's hands. I had this game years ago and loved it - the only problem is if the bomb eventually dies and stops working (which did happen after a few years) - you need to buy another game. |
