2.0 out of 5 stars Not Recommended, January 11, 2010

This game did not deliver either education or fun. The box does not describe how the game is played so I guess that should have been a clue. All the players do is spin a spinner and land on a number from 1 to 5. They then pick up the tile with the corresponding number and on the back is a picture of an animal. All number 1's are a rooster and number 2's are a cat, etc. They then place the tile on their own chart matching the animals on the tile to the animals on the chart. There is one space for number 1 and 2 spaces for number 2, etc. If your chart is full for that number then you have to put the tile back. The first player to fill their chart wins. That's all there is to the game. As you can imagine there is a lot of spinning and putting tiles back. The only variation of the game is to reverse what you did and take the tiles off of the chart. The tiles are thin cardboard and the spinner is poorly constructed. The only good part are the Eric Carle illustrations. The... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Straight to the recycle bin, July 3, 2010

We bought this game at the store because we were getting bored with playing Candyland with our 3 year old. We did this without reading any reviews which was a huge mistake.

The most obnoxious part of this game is lots of spinning while waiting for the number you need turns up. This game makes Candyland look brilliant because at least in Candyland you can move each time your color comes up.

There is little educational value here since your child can't play this until he/she can recognize numbers. Once your child can recognize numbers, there is only mindless spinning trying to get the number you need. I suppose there is the practice of taking turns and following rules, but you can get that in any game.

Wish I could get my money back.

This is such a dumb game! As someone has already described, its just flipping the tiles and putting them on the board and reverse. It can't keep the children engaged nor can an adult enjoy it with the kids. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BORING GAME! I got it as a birthday present for my 3 year old but I am going to chuck it! The tiles are so tiny and made up of thin paper that 3 yr olds can't even handle them properly. In all a total disappointment.
